Established in 1952

Dad and Mom, Bob and Betty Dush, started the family Christmas Tree business in 1952 with the dream of earning enough money to help their three children through college. In 1976, Roger came home to be a part of the family business. He had had his fill of the corporate world and longed for family, clean air, and the beauty of the land. In addition to growing trees, Pine Tree Barn was born and opened in September of 1980 selling ornaments, gifts, and some light food along with the trees. Humble beginnings!

In 1981, Rita joined Roger and they both worked long and hard to grow and prosper; changing Pine Tree Barn with the times and customers. Soon, 30 years had passed and we were ready to turn the reins of the retail store and restaurant over to our kids - but not the Christmas Tree Farm. So we went back to our original roots - growing trees and shepherding the land.

The Farms at Pine Tree Barn became our new "baby" in January of 2013 when we "retired". We put ALL of our efforts into managing and growing the tree farm. We are loving it! We upgraded the original Tree Barn with a warm and inviting cafe and workshop area. A light lunch of hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, and hot chocolate can be enjoyed in the cafe. Joy, our floral designer, is busy creating wreaths, swags, and garlands in the workshop. The designs are classic, whimsical, or just plain fun. All are gorgeous! We encourage special orders which will be ready when you are!

This year we have upgraded our Valley Road location, the East side of the farm, with a new Christmas Tree Barn! YES, it is red and green! And we call it our NORTH POLE! You can now get the same fresh greens at our North Pole on Valley Road along with cutting your own tree or if you want the convenience of a freshly cut tree. Joy's wreaths and swags are also available at this location. After choosing your tree, relax and warm yourself by the fire pit as you sit and enjoy your day in the country.

Both Dad and Mom have passed. We are in our "golden" years - but keeping the lights shining brightly. Together with Brad, our farm manager, and other helpers, we take great pride in growing and selling big, beautiful, gorgeous Christmas Trees - FOR YOU!
