Remembering Roger Dush
In doing what we love and in honor of Roger, our tree market opens on November 20, 2021 at 9AM at both the Main Farm and the North Pole on Valley Road. The trees are gorgeous and bountiful. No shortage here! We are ready for you!
Please come to choose and cut your family's perfect tree. Enjoy the country air and warm fire. Take home a beautiful wreath and some roping and boughs to decorate your home.
Enjoy an old-fashioned Ohio Christmas!
Blessings for the Christmas Season,
Rita, Brad, Tyler, Nathan, Cam and the entire crew
A Personal Note to Our Customers:
It is with great sorrow that I share our very sad news with you. In December of 2020, my husband of 38 years, Roger Dush, succumbed to the scourge of COVID-19 which so unfairly stole him from us after only five days with the virus and only three days in the hospital. Gratefully, I was able to be with him in his last hours. He was not only my life, but a great father, grandfather, mentor, and friend to so many people. Roger was kind and gentle with a warm and unforgettable smile and always a twinkle in his eyes.
As Lance, our grandson said. "Grampy lived his life with the most profound sense of generosity and care not only for his family but everyone around him. He never failed to make every single person he met feel respected and valued. His gentle, yet extraordinarily powerful presence as a dedicated teacher, role model, husband, father, and grandfather will always be a light to guide us and a love for us to feel."
Both Roger and I loved growing and selling Christmas trees. Spreading the joy and happiness of the Christmas season are so rewarding, not only for you but for us as well. We at The Farms at Pine Tree Barn will continue this wonderful tradition. Roger lives on in the trees, on the farm, and mostly, in our hearts.
My only wish is to have 38 more years with Roger. He was the love of my life.
Sincerely,
Rita
